Strong and lasting partnerships with colleges and universities form the foundation of GAV’s existing programs, and also help shape future program development. Unlike most international education provider organizations, GAV does not advertise its programs directly to students, nor do we accept applications from students. Instead, students participate in GAV programs through their home institution according to the terms of its partnership agreement with GAV, thereby preserving the institutional brand. Pricing and inclusions vary, depending on the partner’s preferences.
Without the focus on promoting its programs directly to individual students, GAV staff are available to be fully responsive to faculty and administrators at its partner universities. We are happy to assist with promoting programs on campus, both in person and virtually, understanding that our partners know their institutions best and are in an optimal position to highlight the features of GAV programs in terms relevant to their students.
Although GAV welcomes students from all academic backgrounds from our partners, we specialize in working with institutions to develop programs targeted at students in specific discipline areas. Our original and most successful programming has been for students of business, but we welcome partners seeking to expand opportunities abroad for students in other areas, for example public policy, communications, various STEM majors, and many others.
GAV is happy to work directly with faculty members at partner institutions to develop short-term programs with a particular academic focus. GAV specializes in pairing theory with practice by securing high-quality speakers and visits to relevant companies and organizations that will complement and enhance the faculty member’s course content. By arranging all aspects of a faculty-led program (accommodation, transportation, cultural excursions, visits and speakers), and providing 24/7 staff support, the faculty leader can focus fully on teaching and student learning.
